Moonbow Nook
Moonbow Nook is guided by its design goals: Empower, Peform and Connect.
The project retrofits the eight existing buildings into private living spaces while bridging them with newly added connection spaces creating vibrant communal areas. The iterative design process emphasises energy efficiency and carbon reduction to ensure that the final design minimises environmental impact while maintaining functionality, comfort, and long-term resilience. The layout offers flexible areas that cater to the needs of all occupants, whether it be for work, rest, cooking, wellness, play or social gatherings. Sustainability education is integrated through murals, signage, and exposed systems throughout the building that draw attention and inform occupants of the importance of making choices that minimise harm to the environment. Additionally, personal customisations such as cork boards and user-specific room typologies help occupants feel a sense of comfort and belonging in both private and shared spaces.
